Lot of 3 Vintage 1970s Soviet Magnetic Core Memory Planes 4K RAM Matrix #902500.
This is a rare set of three (3) authentic 1970s Soviet-era magnetic core memory planes. All three boards originate from the same factory production series, sharing the exact same assembly drawing number and individual hand-marked serial numbers.
These 4096-bit (64x64 core grid) memory planes were used in early Soviet minicomputers and industrial mainframe systems during the Cold War era (such as the Saratov and SM series). Each plane features a woven matrix of thousands of microscopic ferrite magnetic cores held in a rigid frame with terminal connection pins along all four edges.
The 3 core memory planes are each stamped **902500** on top frame of all 3 planes. The planes have individual hand-marked serial numbers-№ 1055, № 1186, and № 1220.
These items are being sold AS-IS for parts, repair, historical collection, or display. Physical wear is consistent with age and handling. The woven wire matrices show frayed/broken wires and loose sections near the center/edges as clearly shown in the close-up photos.
The pictures are of the actual item you will receive and are a good representation of its condition.
