Disclaimer:This Commodore C64 RF module replacement board was designed by The Retro Channel (open source project), all kudos to him, I am just a guy who ordered a few boards and sells the surplus.
This listing is for do it yourself kit. Please see my other listing for the assembled board, since did not allow me to make this listing as variation.
This board replaces the RF modulator and provides the cleanest possible s-video output and also selectable composite or dual channel audio output. The s-video output quality is very good, much better than existing s-video out on the C64 DIN connector.
This board does not disable the original C64 video output and technically makes it a reversible mod if the RF is carefully removed.
There is an official installation video on The Retro Channel on YouTube, please refer to it before you purchase this mod.
I have two options for sale:- The fully populated and tested board (you will only need to remove the RF and install/solder pegs/pins that will be included with the board)
- DIY kit, which includes the board and all elements (pegs/pins, caps, connectors, resistors, transistors, diodes) so you can make one yourself
