Listing Update...This is not so much an update as it is a brief comment about the computers and related parts I have available for sale. Personal computers (and in particular desktop computers) have always been a hobby of mine. I\'ve enjoyed tinkering with this stuff over the years and have accumulated a number of items during this time...some new and some used. I am not an expert on the subject...more of an enthusiast...but I will still do my best to answer any questions as it relates to my computer related listings. Thank you.

This offering is for a used LITE-ON Technology 320 watt (non-modular) power supply. As mentioned in the listing title, this is a used offering pulled from a working HP Z230 workstation. I purchase some of these workstations for customers that want a low budget computer capable of doing some gaming. As a result, I usually upgrade the power supply before I install a discrete graphics card. These power supplies are fine if the discrete graphics card will draw all of its power from the PCIe slot (like many of the GTX 1050 Ti models, etc.). Although, any graphics card that requires additional power from a PCIe cable (i.e., a 6-pin, 8-pin, or any combination of the two) will require an upgrade over this power supply. The reasons are really twofold. First, the 320 watt max rating is not leaving much room for even lower powered graphics cards that only require a PCIe 6-pin connector. Second, this power supply does not have a PCIe cable/connector, and I do not recommend any of the available SATA or Molex adapters. I don\'t mean to dissuade anyone from purchasing one of these power supplies, but please do keep in mind its limited use case.

I should probably also mention the proprietary dimensions of this power supply, which further limits its use case. A standard ATX (form factor) power supply will measure 150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H) x 140+ mm (D). Just to confirm the latter depth (D) measurement can vary somewhat, but will usually be at least 140 mm. As for this particular offering, the dimensions are 150 mm (W) x 98 mm (H) x 156 mm (D). The depth (D) measurement is usually not a problem, but the taller 98 mm height (H) measurement is not an industry standard. Most ATX cases allow for 86 mm of height (H) and anything more can create mounting problems. For this reason alone, please confirm your height (H) measurement requirement for your particular computer and make sure you can accommodate the proprietary 98 mm height (H) dimension of this power supply.

I realize the pictures make it difficult to determine the exact number of cables and connectors coming out of this power supply, so let me highlight them here. There is a proprietary 18-pin main board cable/connector, a 4-pin EPS/CPU cable/connector, a SATA cable (with three 15-pin connectors) and a legacy peripheral cable (with one Molex connector and one 6-pin SATA connector). To be clear, there are actually two cables. The first comes directly off the power supply and includes the 4-pin EPS/CPU cable/connector previously mentioned and two proprietary 6-pin cables/connectors. The two 6-pin cables/connectors have receiving connectors on the second cable (that often sells separately on for $10+). I am including this second cable with this offering and it includes all the connectors identified above.

As I mentioned above, this is a used power supply that was pulled from a working HP Z230 workstation computer (due to a customer wanting to upgrade to a larger power supply). This power supply was tested before it was removed and works fine. It\'s also fairly clean, with no dents or major may visit our store by clicking on this \"Store Home Page\" link.

Note to international customers regarding shipping...

Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case.
