This is a preloaded boot drive created for a Mac Pro 5,1 that runs Monterey 12 up to Sequoia 15 using OpenCore - Simply plug this NEW drive in to the bay slot, boot up and your ready to go.+The PCIe card with a NEW Samsung 1TB boot drive+The macOS Monterey 12 is installed with OpenCore Legacy Patcher pre set up for a Mac Pro Tower 5,1
ThIs Boot drive is setup based on a Mac Pro 5,1 regardless of the year release – It is preferable to have the following:
+Previously installed Mohave with the latest 5,1 firmware installed – 144.0.0.0.0
+A Metal compatible GPU that is Mac flashed or Mac Edition 7950, 7970 and RX 580 – these are the most versitle GPUs for going to macOS 12 up to macOS 15
+Wifi AC / Bluetooth 4 Combo Card for more functionality with Bluetooth devices
If you still have the original legacy Bluetooth module and Wifi N card installed, OpenCore will recognize this and want to install theWifi Legacy Patch. If this is the case we will provide instructions on how to do this.
We do have thetheWifi AC / Bluetooth 4 Combo Cardupgrades for sale if you feel you need to do this before using this Boot drive. Wehighly recommend thisupgrade for increased BT functionality and Wifi speed.
Depending on the GPU you have installed we can customize this SSD drive to run on Monterey 12, Sonoma 14, or Sequoia 15. You will need aMac Edition HD 7950 or aMac FlashedHD 7970 or RadeonRX 580.
Other higher end GPUs that are Mac Flashed will work like theRX 6600 XTor5700 XTwhich are considered the fastest GPUs compatible with a Mac Pro 5,1 but generally only with macOS Monterey 12.
